It is the beginning of a New Year. The year that was has come and gone. You really didn’t have too much to do with the passing of time, but how you passed the time is what defined your year. So as we continue to think about Making the Season Bright, how can we honestly make this a year that will become one of the greatest years of our lives? Can that even happen? Dare we think it? Of course it can and we should!
It is Christmas Day. The much anticipated arrival of Christmas has happened. Is it everything that you thought it would be? We hope so, on this Christmas morning we discover the importance of hope and dreams in the very real world we live in…

Here we are – it is the week before Christmas and the clock has been counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the celebration of the greatest gift ever given happens once again. Like any great event that we need to remember – it all starts with “once upon a time” because of course – time matters! And so here we are, getting ready for Christmas time once again. Today we look at Christmas time in a way that you may have never seen it before – get ready – Christmas will be here before you know it!
As we are working to make the season bright we must not underestimate the incredible power that we have in our lives as a gift from God.
Believe it or not, one of the reasons that many don’t shine as brightly as they should is because they have failed to connect to the main power source.
Today we discover the incredible power of Christmas and find the socket in the stable.
Once we know it is there, then why would we ever choose to live powerless?
Today in our quest to make the season bright, we tackle the question… yes, it is the space question.
Don’t be too quick to answer – it is not an easy question if you really take the time to ponder it…and it is not a silly question either.

It is here! The most wonderful time of the year…Christmas. Christmas @ 434 is truly an exciting time, we hope you are ready for all the fun and excitement of the season. You might have noticed that for some people, Christmas gets a little complicated. Wonderful and complicated don’t always seem to fit together…so how can you help? This year we begin our “Make the Season Bright” series with a reminder of how complicated it can be…have you ever tried to untangle a string of Christmas lights and one bulb doesn’t work and the string remains dark? If you are going to make the season bright, then you have to get the lights shining…this study reminds us of how we can do that.
